To support the healthcare facilities in their journey to accreditation, GAHAR has issued requirements for provisional accreditation. It is an optional step towards preparing healthcare facilities for final accreditation, only available to
by achieving acceptable levels of quality in healthcare and human safety.
Provisional accreditation is based on four main items:
National Safety Requirements (NSR) aim to improve patient safety in healthcare facilities. GAHAR has selected standards that directly affect the safety of individuals, to be placed as basic requirements for facilities willing to join the Universal Health Insurance (UHI) system.
Healthcare Facilities must demonstrate their commitment to patient safety. This requires compliance with all National Safety Requirements (NSR).
Essential Quality Requirements (EQR) ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of the health service and the satisfaction of the beneficiaries of the service.
The requirements of the operating manual for the health facility are to guarantee stable professional performance of the facility in all its departments and at all levels of service provision, at all times and in all cases.
